Dear Latin American Developmental Biologists,
We are pleased to announce the 13th Latin American Society for Developmental Biology (LASDB) Conference, to be held in October 2027 in the beautiful coastal town of Búzios, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This meeting will bring together an interdisciplinary community of researchers focused on emerging questions in developmental biology, spanning molecular, cellular, evolutionary, and regenerative biology perspectives. The conference continues a strong tradition of fostering scientific exchange and training students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career researchers across Latin America.
The 2027 meeting is organized under the auspices of the Latin American Society for Developmental Biology (LASDB), with the collaboration of regional and international partner societies. As in previous editions, the conference is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and gender balance at all levels of participation.
We will made every effort to keep registration fees as accessible as possible. Reduced rates will be available for active members of the organizing societies, and we will offer registration waivers and travel grants to support student and early-career participation.
In addition to an outstanding lineup of invited speakers, approximately 40% of oral presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts, alongside flash talks, poster sessions, and a range of social and networking activities designed to foster collaboration across the region.
We look forward to welcoming you to Búzios for what promises to be a vibrant and impactful meeting.
